For more than a century, a statue of the good
King Gambrinus, the legendary monarch of brewing, reigned at the Pabst
home brewery in Milwaukee. The original statue was carved of wood in 1857.
In 1968 it was faithfully reproduced in aluminum. In 1995 when the brewery
closed the statue was moved to the Pabst corporate offices in Illinois.
Due to the diligence of the owners at Best Place the statue was returned
in 2011. |
